The Tilley Cap is a new twist to the old French Legionnaire cap. It’s redesigned with the outdoor enthusiast in mind and provides full protection from the sun and rain for the head, ears and neck. The neck-protecting cape folds neatly up into a pocket and provides three different levels of protection. (Click small picture for larger image of the fully extended cape.)
The Tilley Cap is engineered in lightweight Tilley Nylamonite. Tilley Nylamonite® is a durable, water-repellent nylon. The cap features an adjustable sizing band, British brass grommets, and Tilley Airflo mesh in the crown allowing coolness and comfort during hot days or strenuous activities. There’s a tuckaway wind cord for gusty days and an olive underbrim reduces glare from water and sand.
Tilley's Guarantee: If you ever succeed in wearing out your Tilley Hat, send us the remains and we will replace it free. If you want to keep your faithful, old, worn-out friend, tell us and we'll return it to you. We understand. Upon purchase, your Hat is covered by a two year, all-peril, 50% deductible, Hat Insurance Policy to take the pain out of loss or irreparable damage.
Washing Instructions: Machine wash in warm or cool water. Do not use bleach. Smooth and reshape the Hat by hand and set it out to air dry.
Hat Sizing: Tilley Hats fit more comfortably than other hats. To find your size, simply use a tape measure to measure around your head in inches, just above your eyebrows (do not pull tight). Order options are given in inches and hat size. If you already know your regular hat size, please order one size larger when you order your Tilley.
Color is Khaki with Olive underbrim. The Cap has an internal size-adjustment device that allows you to adjust it to suit your unique head size. Three sizes: S/M fits 6 7/8 to 7 1/8, L fits 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 and XL fits 7 5/8 to 8.
